Custom Quartz Tube Order Closed After Technical Discussion & Sample Validation
A German thermal equipment manufacturer successfully placed a bulk order for high-purity quartz furnace tubes after multiple rounds of technical communication and sample testing. The client specializes in manufacturing tube furnaces for material sintering and previously faced persistent quality issues with their old quartz suppliers.
The customer contacted our team through Google search, submitting their technical drawing with requirements: outer diameter 80 mm, wall thickness 4 mm, length 1000 mm, continuous working temperature up to 1100°C, low hydroxyl content and strict dimensional tolerance. In our online conversation, the client raised critical concerns: “Our old quartz tubes often suffer devitrification and cracking after repeated heating and cooling cycles. Can your quartz tubes withstand long-term high-temperature operation? Can you provide inspection certificates?”
Our technical sales replied that we adopt synthetic fused silica raw material, with full annealing treatment to remove internal stress. Each finished tube will undergo 100% visual and dimension inspection, and we can offer material test reports. We also suggested chamfering on both ends to reduce chipping risk during installation.
The customer decided to order one sample first for furnace bench test. After receiving the sample, they ran continuous high-temperature cycling for 10 days. No cracking or surface fogging was observed, and all dimension data matched the drawing.
Subsequent talks covered unit price, production lead time, export documents, and fumigated wooden packaging to prevent breakage during sea shipment. After all commercial and technical terms were confirmed, the client issued the official purchase order for 30 pieces of custom quartz tubes.
After delivery, the quartz tubes passed their incoming QC and were assembled into their furnace systems. The client gave positive feedback on stable performance. Both parties agreed on long-term cooperation for future recurring orders. This case proves that sufficient technical communication and sample verification are key to building trust and closing cross-border quartz component orders.
